There are many places, where you can get your blog up, and running for free. I think using blogger.com has been the easiest one for a newbie to use so far.
Once you start learning and developing skills, then you will be able to use a paid site for hosting your blog, and maybe making a lot more easy daily cash! Until you master this a free blog is just fine. Here is a few great sites to help get you started. Learn How To Start Your Own Blog
You can use your blog to sell affiliate products, or ad space. There are some places that will pay you to write a blog post about their products or services. A blog can bring a decent amount of income, but it's not fast money by any means.
You will have to work hard, I compare it to gardening. You work hard weeding, turning soil, and planting. (Keyword Research, SEO, Blog Creation, Informative Posts)
Then you must maintain the garden with water, and food while you wait...and wait. More blog post, article writing for traffic, social sites, back links, monetizing, etc.)
When it's harvest time we see that our hard work was worth it. (Money coming in from several different sources:)
Think about things you have an interest in, do some keyword research and begin your blogging journey!
